DeSoto National Memorial
Features images from "Camp Uzita" a replica of the 16th century base camp of the Spanish explorer Hernando de Soto. Living history interpreters demonstrate costume and armor, weapons use, food preparation, camp equipment, and blacksmithing. Also included are images of the only 16th century Spanish cavalry reenactors in the United States

Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks
Featured image collections in vegetation monitoring and park fire ecology demonstrate the behind-the-scenes efforts of park staff to protect and preserve park resources. In September 2003 the Stock Use and Meadow Monitoring Program at Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks conducted an environmental assessment of a number of wilderness meadows. This collection of over 100 images illustrate the condition of the meadows. Fire images from 2002-2004 demonstrate all aspects of wildfire control, prescribed burning and firefighting techniques.
