Living history interpreters demonstrate costume and armor, weapons use, food preparation, camp equipment, and blacksmithing. Also included are images of the only 16th century Spanish cavalry reenactors in the United States Gettysburg National Military Park Digital Collection Featured collection of 90 black and white portraits of Civil War soldiers. Petersburg National Battlefield Poplar Grove National Cemetery Featured collection of over 2,000 images of headstones from graves as Poplar Grove National Cemetery. Most headstones are for Civil War soldiers who died in 1865. Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks Featured image collections in vegetation monitoring and park fire ecology demonstrate the behind-the-scenes efforts of park staff to protect and preserve park resources. In September 2003 the Stock Use and Meadow Monitoring Program at Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks conducted an environmental assessment of a number of wilderness meadows. This collection of over 100 images illustrate the condition of the meadows. Fire images from 2002-2004 demonstrate all aspects of wildfire control, prescribed burning and firefighting techniques. Tumacacori National Historical Park Mission 2000, Spanish Mission Records Images of Spanish mission records of the Pimeria Alta (southern Arizona and northern Sonora, Mexico) containing baptisms, marriages, and burials from the late seventeenth century to the mid-nineteenth century. Project created and managed by Tumacacori National Historical Park.
