Revise Search - Too many results

Sometimes a search returns too many results to be useful, hundreds or even thousands of records.

When this happens, click on "Revise Search" at the top of the screen. This command appears on both the Title List and the Full Record display screens.

When you click on Revise Search, the Advanced Search screen will open allowing you to fine-tune the search by field, using Boolean Operators, or by format type or date of content. (more info on Advanced Searching)

All information from your previous search such as search terms and databases selected will be "remembered" and will appear in the Advanced Search screen.

Sort by Title or Relevancy

Currently the default setting on NPS Focus is to return results sorted by Relevancy. Notice that the relevancy ranking appears to the right of each title.

If you would prefer an alphabetical list sorted by title, click on Sort by Title in the top right hand of the screen above the search results. See diagram above.
