Looking for a special image but not sure how to find it? Try Browsing!
The "Browse by Subject" and "Browse by Park" screens search records in the NPS Digital Library to help you find digital images, reports, drawings, and maps.
To start browsing, click on the yellow plus sign next to each term in order to view
progressively narrower subject terms. When a black bullet is displayed,
the term is the most specific in that subject area.

Whenever a clickable blue "Search" link is displayed, click on the link to perform an NPS Focus search of the term displayed to the left of the link. A search can be performed on a term at any level in the subject hierarchy where the clickable "Search" appears. If a "Search" link does not appear next to a term, there are currently no records in NPS Focus indexed to that subject term.
Why aren't there more choices? --especially under parks? The NPS Digital Library and Browse function are in their infancy. The technology infrastructure is in place to browse every digital resource in the NPS.
Now it's up to the parks and programs to add records and digital images (reports, etc.) to NPS Focus and recommend new subject headings for the Browse trees.
